My sister, Smita, was running MindfullBelly from her home kitchen. I watched her lose hours every day to WhatsApp chaos—while the food she actually cared about kept waiting.
MindfullBelly was growing. So was the mess behind it: order edits buried in chats, menu changes copied by hand, payment screenshots to match while something was still on the stove. Cooking was the easy part. Keeping the business straight was eating Smita's evenings.
I spent 30 years building highly scalable, enterprise-grade software infrastructure. I took that exact same engineering rigor and applied it to Smita's kitchen operations—ensuring ChefSathi is rock-solid and never drops an order on a busy Friday night. The brief was personal: give my sister her time back. Automate the repeat work—catalog, order flow, payment follow-up—so she could cook, pack, and breathe again.
Once that tool was working in Smita's kitchen, we kept meeting owners with the same story. Home bakers, tiffin services, cloud kitchens—brilliant at food, drowning in coordination. No one needed another flashy app. They needed calm operations and customers who could order without a twenty-message thread.
That family tool became ChefSathi: a web-based Kitchen OS for direct ordering, prep, payments, and daily control. Still shaped by Smita's real kitchen. Still obsessed with time saved and sanity restored—not software fluff.
